Skills for Life + Citizenship

Applying for British Citizenship or indefinite Leave to remain?

If you wish to apply for Citizenship in Britainor Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR), you need to demonstrate your knowledge of life in the United Kingdomas well as proving that your speaking and listening skills are adequate to cope with everyday life.Depending on your level of English, there are two ways to prove this:

1.By taking the Life in the UK Test. (http://www.lifeintheuktest.gov.uk/)

or

2. By taking combined ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) and Citizenship Classes.

Check www.direct.gov.uk and search for your nearest training centre.

At WestGeorgeCollege we offer:

Combined Intensive English Skills for Life (ESOL) with Citizenship Classes. These are for those students who have a standard of English below Entry Level 3 or Level 1.

After you have attended this course and gained the Skills for Life Qualification, the College will provide a letter which can be presented to the Home Office in support of this achievement.

Enrolment Dates and Fees:

Intensive Classes start every week/month.
